Dr. B. B. Sinha, took charge as full-term Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at Ford Hospital, Varanasi on 2nd September 2019. Dr. B. B. Sinha brings about more than 7 years of extensive experience and exceptional accomplishments in the field of mental health. A well-recognised leader in Community psychiatry, He has been instrumental in successfully providing accessible & affordable mental health care for the entire population.
After completion of his M.B.B.S degree from Bihar, he completed his Postgraduate Diploma degree in Mental Health (Psychiatry) from CMC, Vellore & Dip. in Community Mental Health from NIMHANS, Bengaluru. He also did MHA (Masters in Hospital Administration) from Pune. He has also qualified MRCPsych (Part-A&B) of Royal College of Psychiatrist, London, UK.
He has served as a Resident Doctor in the Department of Psychiatry to various prominent Institutes of National Importance such as AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur, Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre, Bhopal & Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi & Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, also worked as Sr. Medical Officer-I/C under the Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh & served as a Consultant (Psychiatry) at Deva Institute Of Mental Healthcare & Research Pvt Ltd, Varanasi and a Senior GP in the Department of Telemedicine at Dhani Healthcare Ltd, New Delhi as well.
He has also served as a resource person for various flagship training, research & teaching programs for MP state Govt. Medical Officers, Postgraduate students of Psychology & Psychiatric Social workers. He is also recognised for his contribution in improving care for people with mental illness through his work quality assurance in mental health care in the community.
He is a life member of several Psychiatric bodies like Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association of Private Psychiatrist, Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, Indian Association of Health Psychology & Indian Medical Association.
